Robin Williams’ Oscar winning performance as Sean, a psychologist, in Good Will Hunting (1997), directed by Gus Van Sant, showed his range of dramatic expression. However, the language developed by Oscar winners Matt Damon and Ben Afflack, did not allow Williams to rely on his comedic talent.
